Sybarite5 returns to the cell with Groove Machine
Winners of the Concert Artists Guild Competition, and following an international tour, SYBARITE5, a string quintet dedicated to mold-breaking programming, returns to cell as the 2015 ensemble in residence to present the world premiere of Groove Machine for string quintet by Marc Mellits as well selected works from Look Back / Move Forward.
Comprised of Sami Merdinian and Sarah Whitney, violins; Angela Pickett, viola; Laura Metcalf, cello; and Louis Levitt, bass, Sybarite5 has taken audiences around the US by storm. From Radiohead to Mozart, this group of talented, diverse musicians has changed the perception of chamber music performance.
