CANDIDE
Join us for a one night only, FREE staged reading of Custom Made Artistic Director Brian Katz's modernization of "Candide" as we ready the show for a 2014 NYC production.
"Candide, of California (or, Optimism)" is a freely adapted, modernized joy ride through Voltaire’s comic novella. Beginning in the best of all possible states, seven actors portray dozens of character traveling all across this best of all possible worlds. There they will find war, starvation, persecution, and other normal human activities, but this is surely all God’s will, and also for the best!
Adapted and directed by Brian Katz.
With: Leah Abrams, Luke Anthony, Yvonne Almeria Campbell, Jesse Manocherian, Katherine McDowell, Corinne Proctor, and Brett Singer
